During the course of the Museum Labs, professionals working in Galleries, Libraries, Archives and other Museum spaces (GLAMs) will be provided with a guidebook and digital skills training on the use of the ExhiBIT App with underrepresented communities, and its customization based on collections.

Community insights, and other alternative interpretations of artefacts, representations and collections, will also be collected and rendered available through interactive stories, therefore improving the transversality and relevance of shared heritage.

Reflections on identity and perceived identities will be fostered during the Museum Labs, which will turn into transformative learning experiences for both communities and GLAMs professionals.

This presentation (available in English, Greek and Danish) captures the journey from digital training to real co-curation practice. It brings together the voices of museum professionals and community participants who worked with the ExhiBIT App to create citizen-curated exhibitions, phygital map journeys, and alternative narratives across 10 museums.

Through these stories, you will discover how collections were reinterpreted, how new perspectives emerged, and how museums opened space for dialogue, inclusion and shared meaning-making.

The structure of the Reflective Account follows the framework outlined in the A4.5 Interactive Phygital Stories Skeleton 

and guides you through:

• The emergence of a citizen-curating community

More than a summary of activities, these Interactive Phygital Stories demonstrate what happens when digital tools, community voices, and museum expertise come together. They show how museums can become more inclusive, participatory, and socially responsive spaces in the Phygital era.
