Antigoni Michael

Antigoni Michael is a Brussels-based Cultural Heritage Specialist with expertise in community engagement, reconciliation, and heritage-led peacebuilding. Originally from Cyprus, she holds degrees in History and Archaeology (University of Cyprus) and in Archaeology: Landscape and Heritage (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam). Her early work in Cyprus included roles with the UNDP, Home for Cooperation, and the Religious Track of the Cyprus Peace Process.
In 2021, she was named a European Heritage Youth Ambassador by Europa Nostra. Currently, she serves as Manager of the “7 Most Endangered” programme at Europa Nostra, overseeing applications, crisis-response campaigns, and youth-led initiatives. Antigoni uses storytelling, cross-border tours, and digital media to foster inclusive heritage practices and intercultural dialogue.
Dr. Sophia Antoniadou
Cultural Heritage Expert | Archaeologist | Entrepreneur
Dr. Sophia Antoniadou holds a Ph.D. from the University of Edinburgh on Late Bronze Age trade in Cyprus. A specialist in cultural heritage management and policy, she has directed the Pierides Museum of Ancient Cypriot Art and contributed to numerous EU-funded heritage projects. From 2009 to 2012, she served as a cultural advisor to the Hellenic Parliament and Ministry of Culture, shaping strategies on education, cultural diplomacy, and urban social policy.
In 2012, she completed her first independent museological project, the Cyprus Theatre Museum in Limassol. As co-founder and CEO of Discover Greek Culture, she brings expertise in cultural tourism, digital marketing, and business development. Dr. Antoniadou has published extensively on Cypriot Prehistory and cultural politics, with recent work focusing on heritage diplomacy and public archaeology.
Dr. Sandro Debono
Museum Thinker | Cultural Strategist | Academic
Dr. Sandro Debono is a museum thinker, cultural strategist, and academic with extensive experience at the intersection of curatorial practice, digital innovation, and heritage policy. He is a Visiting Senior Lecturer at the University of Malta’s Faculty of Education, focusing on arts, open communities, and adult education. His past roles include senior positions within the Museums Department, the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage, and Heritage Malta.
Dr. Debono led the transformation of Malta’s National Museum of Fine Arts into MUŻA—a pioneering community-focused museum that integrated participatory museology and phygital innovation. His exhibitions include Mattia Preti – Faith and Humanity (2013), Malta – Land of Sea (2017), and Valletta – Capitale d’Europa (2018). He holds a Ph.D. from University College London and frequently advises international institutions on digital museology and inclusive heritage narratives.
Jørgen Gravesen

Jørgen Gravesen was a dedicated educator and public administrator whose career spanned several decades, marked by a commitment to educational innovation and cultural development in Denmark. He began his professional journey as a teacher, later serving as an Education and Business Consultant for Aarhus Municipality. His leadership roles included Head of the Pedagogical Secretariat, Head of Administration for Children and Youth in Farsø, and Head of Culture and Leisure in Vesthimmerland Municipality.
Gravesen’s work reflected a lifelong dedication to inclusive education, municipal development, and cultural engagement. He consistently championed cross-sectoral collaboration between education, youth services, and the cultural sector, fostering community-based approaches at both local and regional levels.
